North Refinery was established in 1980 as a refinery for petroleum. Over the years our package of services has changed and considerably expanded – partially because of developments in the market.
In 2000 a new management was introduced. The core nature of our activities was shifted on the basis of market developments and our organisation’s greatest strengths: our technical know-how and our – for our customers favourable (i.e. very easy to reach) – location. North Refinery became a true environmental firm.
Your average ordinary cow: a perfect symbol for an ecological cycle. Through a process of rumination and four stomachs, the cow processes hard to digest basic food (grass) into milk, a high-value final product with a very wide range of applications. Its residual products provide nutrients for grass again, and in this way the cycle is closed. North Refinery sees this as a symbol for the way in which it wants to operate in the industrial chain: reprocessing hard-to-process substances into high-quality, marketable products, and ensuring a responsible, eco-friendly application of the residual materials.
